Twin Suns Deck : Redemption Through Sequencing - Ezra Bridger [ASH] and Finn [SHD] with Nabbat Village

Rumor has it there was a Finn / Obi Wan (LOF) deck out there that kinda worked turning xp into shields.  Once Ashes came out, it seemed obvious to me that Advantage tokens with their temporary nature were a better value to swap out.  So yeah, I had to go back and build a Finn module.  But having cards up to Ashes, it turned out to be pretty solid Vigilance package.

If Finn is deployed and has an advantage token, the timing works out that you can use his on attack to put the shield up first, making him a unit trading machine.  Props to his unit, also included, to finally give me the line to make Finn work in Twin Suns.  And Ezra deployed is a beast.  Turn 5 for this deck is bonkers.

Key Points
  •  This deck focuses on getting 3 power units out quick and exploding on turn 4 (5 resources).  Past that there are a couple of cards to help out, but you really should try to end the game before then.
  • Always put your Advantage tokens on 2 power units so that Ezra can always stay online.
  • Sometimes you want more damage rather than shields.  That's fine, this deck is about doing damage to base and protecting your units. Don't feel pressured to use Finn's ability every turn.
  • Due to Ezra's Unit ability you might want to deploy him immediately at the start of Turn 4 (5 Resources) to maximize the Advantage flow.  Or at the very least don't attack with any 3+ power units until he's deployed.

Deck : Redemption Through Sequencing

Ezra Bridger Module  ( For this deck I swapped a Zealous Soldier out for Ezra Bridger - Resourceful Troublemaker to avoid a collision with the Finn module)

Finn Module

Cunning Base Module (I always use Nabat Village in Twin Suns unless there's a reason not to)

This is a Twin Suns Card : Seasoned Fleet Admiral

Image
If you aren't aware yet, just so we're all on the same page with this unit, I'm gonna spoil the broken nature of this unit first.  In Twin Suns, the plan token ensures that as long as you don't pick the plan token, the Seasoned Fleet Admiral will be guaranteed to give out an XP token to itself or another unit near the end of every phase at a minimum .  As long as Twin Suns still uses the plan token to draw a card that is.  So on that alone he's worth putting in your deck.  Let's add to his list of pros: He is base command so he'll fit in villainy or heroism decks He's an Official, which is a useful trait now that Secrets of Power is out. He can be played turn 1.  Start getting that XP token value ASAP.  Several popular Twin Suns leaders draw cards.  Catch them off guard, or at the very least, stall their card draw. He has the stats of a turn 1 play that will potentially survive to turn 2.  Unless someone is playing with  Crushing Blo...

This Is A Twin Suns Card : No Bargain

I agree this card isn't super amazing, but value wise I've started to feel it's worth putting in.  Every time I've played it, it felt like a positive outcome for me.  Seeing my opponents faces is all the evidence I need.  Make no mistake, this card is mostly about discarding your opponents card(s) for 2 resources, and you also, as a bonus, draw a card for an additional resource.   Stalling on my 2nd or 3rd turn to make sure my opponents future turns are potentially ruined?  Especially in 5+ player games?  Absolutely worth the value.  The hard part is recognizing when you should play it.  Keep tabs on players hands.  When it gets down to 2 cards in hand for a player is usually the best time to strike.  You know at least one player will discard a card they don't want to which is enough value in my opinion. Note, it's about to be rotated in Premiere.  Another reason why I love Twin Suns so much, all the cards are still lega...

This Is A Twin Suns Card : Blade Three - Bane Of The Devastator

Image
Not since Seasoned Fleet Admiral have I seen a table get so hyperfocused on removing a unit after seeing it work.  It's easily worth the cost.  Even if you don't try to protect it, you should get your value from it.  But if you wanted to deter the table from messing with it, you could use such cards as Shadowed Intentions, pilots, and any number of upgrades to improve Blade Three's survivability. And mess with it they might.  All of a sudden your base might not get attacked as much.  Getting hit for 1 damage now potentially has far less value for your opponents, with you getting to return that damage in kind.  Plenty of cards will also damage bases for some small damage which may not head your way now.  And let's not forget the Blast Token.  Which is to say in Twin Suns, you're practically guaranteed advantage tokens unless you take the Blast Token yourself. In fact, in Twin Suns I think you can always assumed y...
